SPT Layzner is a late-80s anime about the titular mecha (human-piloted “robot”) and an interplanetary war. The design is well-known, and has spawned a couple of sequel designs. Interestingly, an identifiable feature of the Layzner mecha is the green-canopied cockpit which comprises the top of the head, and is where the pilot sits. The first Layzner also had the robot’s eyes visible through the cockpit as well, but subsequent versions moved them to below the cockpit, so that it overhangs a bit like a visor.

Done by request, this is a super-deformed/chibi (cute) drawing of the obscure Layzner Mk V. This particular version appears in a single reference book, and there are only two drawings of it, one in robot form, and one in fighter jet form.
